Raxxyl's Ropusing Tune - I guess that before stats flat out (when only AGI counts now) this was useful for Troubes.

Int was rising critical change and Wis was affecting power pool (I guess as I cant check now).

Though since flat out of stats this skill is totally useless for us, and far less useful for other classes (as they do not benefit from those either. Example my paladin used to benefit from Wis and Int, now he does not)

It also breaks some of AA in Streanght tree as for example Bladesing just buffs this useless skill.

Please have a look at bards and redesign this skill to make it vaiable thing again? That means benefit both us as caster and team members the way it used too.

Thanks!

The INT is still beneficial to the casters in your group, right? So it's less useful for the troubador casting it. That doesn't make it useless.

It's useless for the Troub, not for the Troub's group, correct.

A shame that we have to run a group buff that does nothing for us.

Sure would be nice if we could get some benefit from Int again...

Before "stats flatout" it was useful fro more of group members - like Paladins. Now it does nothing for them. It's just very, very limited now and my gut feel is that it's not by design decision but by negligence of SOE

They modified Raxxyls so it actually does benefit more than just mages, but it's still dripping with fail simply because of how small of a "bonus" it gives.

Another few things modified was countersong is now an instant cast and is 99.9% fail and still needs to be deleted from our spell book instead of being 100% fail and badly needing to be deleted from our spell book.

Rejuvenating Celebration now adds to max health, but really the fact it takes a concentration slot to add 1k hp at master is pretty meh considering how rediculous hp pools will be in a matter of months.

Daelis Dance though has 25% base avoidance and some spell resists.

The typical instance group I see is: tank, healer, regen, utility (troub), 2dps. The song has no benefit to the tank, troub and melee dps.

Also, does the benefit become irrelevant once every piece of loot buffs a main stat? Really, what's the practical difference of buffing a caster to 5,500 Int from 5,000. The Int number goes from very high to more very higher?

The question will be what song do we play instead of Raxxyl that would offer a better group buff. I dunno...

UPDATE: Just read on flames that the song now buffs 453 to arcane/elemetal/noxious. So, a meh resist buff for everyone in the group -- worth it?

This will probably also call for some AA changes, as the priority of what songs are "best" has changed somewhat. I did not have a chance to check and see what new (if any) adorns are bard/troub/dirge specific, but I suspect that adorns will need respeccing also.

This song now is something that you would probably only run in a mage group on raids. There might be other songs that are better for groups and/or non mage raid groups.

On the other hand, this soon into xpac, there is no guarantee it will remain as is...

I hate to say it, this expansion just fail for troubs period.

I don't hate saying it at all. They completely pucked the fooch. Just once I'd like to see the troubs not be left completely out of consideration by the dev team. There was probably no more than a total of 5 minutes spent on the troubadors in the entire development of Destiny of Velious, and I dare a single developer to prove otherwise by any means possible that any developer worked on troubs at all, and if they can, I can tell you exactly who should be first on the next round of cuts.

I would retract my statement and would never talk smack about them again if they simply came in here, and posted that they were aware and were able to quantify even the major issues that exist with the troubs never mind the minor ones. Not just post "we know" but actually say "hey, we know that this and that are not working or badly need to be retooled due to the recent changes" that way they actually can prove that they do know what they are doing.

3+ years of completely and irrevokably failing at making even the most simple and most basic and important aspects of a class function.... unbelievable. Almost as unbelievable that I actually continue my subscription or hold any reservation that the devs actually care one iota or even know what a troubador is. I doubt a single one of them could even handle legitimately leveling a troub to cap level.

I'm very casual, I don't notice any but the most glaring of issues. That being said, my Templar, in quest gear, can completely out-DPS my Troubadour in T1 raid gear. I've been working non-stop to get the PQ gear on my Trouby and have now got all the pieces except the weapon and it's not helping much. I did some major work on AA's and now have worked with swapping his songs around to see if there's a difference, it's helping, but with 225 AA's on the Trouby and 185ish on the Templar, he's still getting out-parsed. LOL. (That's in healing stance, BTW.) I would never have thought that possible...ever. I just use him to buff mages now.
