Ya, so much for their promised Beta Patcher eh? Most of us who got in on the first round quickly found a way to copy over Live game files and patch with the old Beta Patcher and then run the client using the everquest2.exe file to avoid that steaming (er I mean streaming) pile of do-do launcher.

yeah, I didn't like the streaming. Took ages to zone from my starter area then was so lagged out I couldn't move. So my beta experience ended before it started

For me the whole ebta expierence was a farce couldnt get the workaround to well work so stuck with the god awful streaming client, didnt bother to log in after a day or two my wife did she was a bit bored by it and gave up long before they (oddly) pulled the plug on it.

A very strange beta indeed.

The old Beta patcher stopped working in early Feb I believe. I wrote up those instructions on how to use the old Beta patcher to patch (not to mention copying the 11.5GB of existing data from your Live EQ2 folder to your Beta folder, leaving just 1.5GB left to download).

Yes, and thanks a lot for that Feldon, I didn't have my old patcher on my computer still and it was very helpfull

I had no troubles running the old patcher until the last patch.
