Anyone Brigand in Beta want to give an update on new AA and how the class is overall in Beta?

Some nice choices, crit bonus and potentcy among them. The odd bad choice too, still trying to make us tank a little bit. It isn't that we are not getting anything, it's that we are getting a fair bit less than certain other classes when we are already behind. Also keep in mind everything we are getting is shared with Swashies.

Though I wasn't personally in Beta, here's a cliff notes response.

1) Our Beg for Mercy combat art and our Thieves Guild buff have been revamped. See the EQ2 Flames Brigand forum thread for more information about these changes.

2) EQ2 Wire posted an interactive AA window system on their site. You can use it to look at all of the Vellious AA windows for the Class Archetypes. When you mouse over an ability, you'll even get a pop up window which tells you what it does.

None of the key problems with the Brigand class were even touched in beta.

Brigands, in DoV, will be even farther behind the other DPSing scouts.

Predators were given a former Brig special (double-up) for 5 of their CAs.Predators were giving a quick cast, 100% reliable AE avoid (Cast evade, they get 5(?) sec AE avoid, evade is up around every 14 seconds).

Swashies get all the exact same AAs that Brigs do, so no narrowing of the gap there.

Hrm that's pretty crappy. I was really hoping they'd do something worthwhile. I was going to play Rift and EQ2 concurrently because I was hoping for something in the new expansion to give our class some real value to groups. Looks like I'll just be playing Rift.

/ragequit.

Ok not really but my sub expires on the 22nd and I'm not going to renew it unless I see something that makes Brigands useful. From the looks of it, it's doubtful.
