Problems with My Romantic Reputation for lower level characters

<p>This is a rather imbalanced quest as it stands, particularly with characters who are lower than the EL zone level. My level 24 warden died at least 4 times harvesting only 25 Erollisi roses. I have all but one of my test chars under level 20, so my level 23 wizzie on test harvested all the roses (264 in total, as my chars only doing the first title, due to lack of time) for all my chars on test, she died around 4 times as well, mostly due to aggro from wasps and other creatures.</p><p>Surely the challenge with this quest should be the giving out of the roses, not harvesting them!!!!!!</p><p>A couple of players have suggested that perhaps the roses should spawn in Antonica/Commonlands as well, it would make harvesting them easier for lower level chars, and as the quest needs 2000 roses to finish it, would make harvesting the roses easier all round.</p><p>The competition for harvesting the roses is a bit high.</p>

<p>Harvesting Roses in for lower level characters should stay between the docks and the druid ring as there are no aggro mobs in that area and the respawn time on the Rose nodes is high(er) then other places (it seems).  but yes ... the comptition is high.</p>

<p>That's where my chars were harvesting, and they still got aggro'd by mobs.</p>

<p>i just took my 24 warlock on test server to EL and harvested the roses.  i did not die, i wasn't even attacked.  there are very few things aggro from the dock to the wizard spires/druid ring.  you mentioned wasps.  it sounds like you went to straight and to the right OR to the right and left then around the rock by the water.</p><p>the only thing you have to look at for is the "very mischevious maiden" (who is really easy to avoid/very few around) and stay out of the water to avoid the sirens.  the other maidens and nymphs can become aggro if you have messed up your faction but you could not have done that bc you are not high enough.</p>

<p>As far as i know higher level cant see them in that area, i tested this with a higher lvl friend and they could not see the roses my lvl 19 could see.  Although i may be wrong.</p>

<p>Perhaps test server is a bit quieter, but I'm commenting on both test and live, as we had no actual testing of Erollisi.</p><p>Splitpaw has a lot more peeps harvesting and so more aggro.</p><p>On test I got a lot more roses 264 in fact, as opposed to the 50 odd on live, and 4 deaths each, so test is more lowbie friendly, but would a lowbie harvesting for the first time know to go left to get the roses, or would they just head to the nearest red glow they could see, most likely head to nearest rose!</p>

<p>Don't go 'Left' .. as a matter of fact, don't go 'Right' either ...</p><p >Go EAST .. from the docks to the spires ... and stay on that Peninsula (Triangle) which has the ocean on one side (South) the river on the 'Back' side (North) and the 'Road' on the other side (West) and stay out of the water.  There are no Rose spawn nodes on the Druid ring island that I'm aware of.</p><p >The only mobs out there are Turtles, Fairies, Badgers and Beetles.  iirc</p>

<p>I ran a level 10 (14 by the time I was done) through all the Erollisi Day content last night. No deaths, though running through Nek Forest to get to the castle I came close a couple of times -- and forgetting I was outclassed by 50+ levels and taking the wizard spires to Loping Plains certainly made for an interesting run, too <img src="/eq2/images/smilies/49869fe8223507d7223db3451e5321aa.gif" border="0" /></p><p>I didn't spend much time in EL for roses tho -- I just needed 8 for the quests. I did notice that the area around the Klicknik mound near the fairies/wizard spires is causing some graphics glitches now, much like a few spots in Nek Forest <img src="/smilies/9d71f0541cff0a302a0309c5079e8dee.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></p>

They only hang out in the immediate area of the Klakrok rock. Everywhere else will be safe.</p>
