Qeynos was officially founded as a City in 2890.

Found this info at: http://eq2.wikia.com/wiki/Antonius_Bayle_I

What year is it now? Are we to expect any celebrating of the 1000 year anniversary in Quenos? ... or did I missed it?

There is no official date in this game. Each server, zone, and character reports differently. For the sake of writing the lore, there are no official dates reported so in case anything else needs to be written to fit in around a certain era.

From a lore standpoint, it's likely that we've already missed the 1000th anniversary of the city by a couple hundred years, since Qeynos was around since before EverQuest Online Adventures, which takes place 1000 years in the past from EQ2.

Wait... 3728 isn't 2011 -- 3728 is sooooo last century! It's currently 8:25am on Burnday, the 9th of Scorchedsky, in 3858 on Crushbone atm (7:28pm on Thursday, the 17th of March, 2011 on Earth EST)

Like I said, it's not really possible to create a standard of time measurement since it's always different for everyone depending on the character, zone, and server. In some zones, it will report Year 0 since there's no passage of time measured with a sun/moon cycle.

You can't do exact dates, but you can measure about 1 year of Norrath time for each expansion. So as you move through the game once you get past the Shattered Lands content you have aproximately 1 year of in-game time when you cover all the zones from one expansion to the next.

Though within an expansion events can happen rapidly or slowly. For instance, how long was Lucan missing? Less than a year, but more than a month is all I can say for sure. Unfortunately putting the event in less than a year time frame is next to impossible unless the devs give a definate date, which I'm sure they are trained not to do.

This is mostly an RP thing, due to the whole 'game year goes by in 16 days' thing. So, using that system, it is currently Spryday 18 of Stargazing, 3728.
