My husband is getting the same exact error. He has deleted and reinstalled and still getting the same error. Worked just fine a couple days ago. Help would be greatly appreciated.

We highly recommend moving over to our LaunchPad 3 as opposed to Station Launcher. You can install it to your existing EQ2 folder.

[EQII] LaunchPad

How do you get the Station Launcher 3? Is that the streaming client? If so, no thanks. I hate logging in and then waiting for stuff to download.

It is the streaming client yes. If you allow it to completely download the game, it does not do it while you play.

Ok I'll give that a try. I've tried it once before and every time I logged in or zoned I was downloading things for a while before I could get in.

NM I guess somehow I installed it into a totally different directory this time.

Ok I downloaded the streaming client and the game works ok EXCEPT that I am once again having the problem where it pops up with the red UI instead of the blue one. I change it to blue and the next time I exit and reenter the game it's back to red...

Not only that but I can't get EQ2 maps to work or the auto attack bar UI.

Start fresh with your UI. Make sure you are fully updating any custom UI's but beyond that I cannot help you with custom UIs.

You may want to make backups and then delete the following files and folders:cache foldereq2_recent.inieq2_default.iniEverQuest2.exee q2.iniAs well as the character specific files, these will appear as such:Servername_CharacterName_EQ2_uisettings.iniSt ationname_characters.iniTo do this, please follow these directions:1. First look for your EverQuest II directory. You can find the default directory in (for Windows XP): C:Program FilesSonyEverQuest II (for Windows Vista/7): C:Program DataSony Online EntertainmentInstalled GamesEverQuest II2. Click on MY COMPUTER and then proceed into local disk C:3. Navigate your way to the default directory, or your chosen installation directory.4. Next look for any files explained above and delete them. 5. Afterwards, please start EverQuest II to have these files re-downloaded by the patcher.
