...which mortals would replace them? Give a reason for each please.

Example:

Innorruuk is replaced as the God of Hate by Qho who is now retitled "Lord Dispoiler, Horder of Growth's Bounty, the Beast that Hungers, Our Lord Who Must Be Obeyed." Not so much that Qho desires to create hate, but more that he is the most hated creature on Norrath (with Nathan Ironforge a close second).

So, who else?

Nel is hot, and Nnoitra is a jerk.

I thought Qho WAS Innoruuk? He'd certainly give Inny a good run for the ole hate crown at least

It's part of the lore that the reasons the Avatars went away in the first place is because Rhoen Theer scares the hell out of them. They don't want to risk actually being killed by him, but now that he's officially dead, they will return. I can't say I've heard of them returning with Velious, but it's probably just something that nobody bothered to take note of in Beta or otherwise report. It's been rumored for a while now that they'd be coming back with Velious though.

Cusashorn wrote:

Nel is hot, and Nnoitra is a jerk.

SPOILER: Zaraki kills Nnoitra, then no one sees heads or tails of Nel once they leave the area.

No, but really. I think the gods' prophets would probably take over. Tychus Zeksworn would be the new God of War, etc. etc.

Interesting idea, but I don't think Quo would replace Innoruk because he is hated mostly by tradeskillers and not by adventurers. Raid geeks don't care much about the Cloak of the Harvester or the Artisan's Pack Pony, but it's the sort of thing that tradeskill geeks go for. Not enough general hate overall to count.

Besides, I haven't decided if I really hate him or that he just drains sanity points when I deal with him. More like Cthulu than Innoruk.

That said, I'm kinda short of candidates for other replacements.

-= Therendil =-

That was an awesome moment from Kenpachi.

I've heard of a mob called Rune of rune theer. which someone told me is the hardest mob in the game and only a few guilds have killed it, does it have anything to do with it?

I would urge you to go digging through various threads on here, because it's hard to give a quick answer. But here goes:

Roehn Theer is the Avatar of Balance, also known as the Avatar of the Nameless, also known as The Godslayer. The Nameless, of course, being the original "god" of the universe, creating all other gods and everything else. The Nameless created Roehn Theer as a check on the other gods of Norrath (and perhaps other worlds in the universe, it's not quite clear how that all works). If one god started trying to gobble up too much power, over-stepping their boundaries, etc, Roehn Theer could step in and zap them into oblivion. He did this using his two swords, Enoxus and Aeteok, also known as the Qeynos Claymore and the Soulfire.

Well, of course, the gods weren't too keen on having a baby sitter, and decided to get rid of him. I'm not quite sure how, but I believe it involved tricking him to give up his swords temporarily. They were then able to banish him to the Void. Well, he didn't like that too much, and slowly plotted his invasion. All of The Shadow Odyssey involved his armies trying to invade Norrath. In Sentinel's Fate, we find that Odus has many ties to the Void, caught in some sort of bridge between the Void and Norrath. Lucan D'Lere gets captured by the void armies, and we rush off to save him. In the end, we come face to face with Roehn Theer himself.

So we do the typical adventurer thing and kill him for phat lewt. This allows another powerful being to sweep in and steel the essence/power of Enoxus and Aeteok for his own, and sneak off to fight another day.

The "Runes" that you've heard of are part of the raid encounter for killing Roehn Theer. There are up to 4 runes that give him different abilities, and they're somehow tied to gods he had killed in the past or something. But you'll hear people talking about how many runes they killed, because it affects how difficult the fight is (very few guilds have killed 4-rune, more have killed 3-rune, even more have killed 2-rune, and a ton of guilds have killed 1-rune)
