Game crashes after trying to play from new download

<p>Hi, I just bought a new comp (win 7 64bit, 4 ram, 3.2 quad athlon, geforce 460). I down loaded game from old eof disks plus a lengthy patch on old launcher. When finished hit play and when on loading entity resources/adding character to game it crashes and computer shuts down, the previous intro vid didnt show graphics but heard sound. Is this a windows 7 compatibility issue. Is there a quick download fix etc?</p>

<p>Could you post your DXDIAG please?</p><p>I would like a bit more details on what you mean by 'computer shuts down'.  Do you get a blue screen or any error messages when it occurs?  Does the computer freeze and become unresponsive or does it literally turn off/restart?</p>
