About how long does a server merger usually take

<p>Hello,</p><p>I'm on Lucan d'Lere, and we're merging into Crushbone on the 14th of Feb.  Anyway, could someone from one of the other recent mergers give me an idea of how long it took?  Would it be done sometime Tuesday the 15th for instance?  Or is something like early Wednesday more reasonable to expect?</p><p>Thanks for any information.</p>

<p>FYI the merge will actually take place on the 15th, not the 14th.  Also, the LDL -> Crushbone merge is moving a server across data centers so this one may take a little longer than the others.</p>

It sounds like the servers are each located in different centers, that's what Rothgar is talking about. That has nothing to do with the hardware as far as I understand it.</p><p>... but I'm sure someone will feel free to correct me if I'm wrong. <img src="/smilies/283a16da79f3aa23fe1025c96295f04f.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></p>
