Fix anti-aliasing for ATI cards. It's been broken for months. HD4890 Win7 x64. It doesn't matter which version drivers I use, how I set my gpu settings, and/or game settings; AA doesn't work.

How are you setting AA exactly? The methods have changed over time and I just want to make sure.

It works fine as long as you're using an old enough catalyst version that the option to disable catalyst ai is still in the 3d settings.

That combined with the eq2.ini setting and the option checked in game will enable AA on any ATi card in EQ2.

Catalyst AI is known to have some issues with AA in many situations.

Do you play in windowed mode or full-screen because AA has been broken in windowed mode since like three updates ago.

Full screen. Sometimes I alt-tab, and it doesn't work in either case.

So, I'm just [Removed for Content] yea?

I like ATI cards and have been using them for a long time but my next card is going to be nVidia.

It's not because ATI sucks, because they don't, but I have so many problems with it because it seems like everyone

just supports nVidia. Kinda like Linux. There's nothing wrong with it, but everyone cares about Windows, so it's just

behind the curve and I have problems with it because of the lack of mainstream support.

I'm using ATI 5870 card and have shader3 enabled and I noticed Anti-Aliasing only works when when you turn off shadows...this started happening afew patches ago when they fixed the new GPU Shadows.

Try it Rahat, it worked for me. I'm on EQ2x btw and been trying to get replies and help on the eq2x boards.
