Hi.

I had some viruses on my computer so I took it to a shop to get it cleaned. Now flash player doesn't work for EQ2 or any other application that requires it. I tried downloading it from the EQ2 launcher but that didn't work. It kept saying I didn't have it. I went to adobe's web site and downloaded it from there but it still didn't work.

It's on my computer, but I don't know how to get it to work.

The guy who runs the shop put AVG, CCleaner, and McAfee antivirus on my machine if that matters any.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Windows® 7 Home Premium 64-bit operating system

Intel Core i7 950 3.06GHz processor

80 PLUS-rated power supply

2 ATI Radeon HD5770 GPUs

12GB DDR3 memory

Optical audio out

1TB storage

Thank you Joshua, but how do I disable them without deleting them? Could I have a need for them later?

You should be able to re-download them as they are likely the free versions installed by the technician in order to remove the infection. If not, you may need to contact the repairmen for the software if you paid for it.

I uninstalled all 3 of those programs and deleted my temporary files, then went to your link to update flash player and it still doesn't work.

You may need to uninstall the existing flash players and try to re-install it.

There is no telling on my end what has occured during the virus removals or what damage they did before being removed.

I found this on the adobe web site

http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/000/6b3af6c9.html

I haven't tried everything there yet because I'm incredibly sleepy.

But it looks promising.

My flash player might have been deleted by the av programs that were installed. Ironically I think most of my bugs came from a web site I watched Gene Autry movies from, which used flash player. I always had to click on the screen numerous times to get the film to play Usually [Removed for Content] sites are the cause of viruses.

Our launchpad is essentially a browser and would not be compatible with 64 bit add-ons. Stick to the 32bit add-ons and a 32-bit default browser.
