They didn't... there hasn't been a character purge (except on Test Copy) since way back at the first server merger. Where exactly are you expecting to see a list of toons? If you mean the dropdown list of toons on the launcher where you can choose which character to login as, often that list is empty if there was a problem or if you've just reinstalled the game. I'd suggest picking "Select a character" and then check the character select screen. Probably your toons will be there just fine. Otherwise, perhaps your account was hacked and you should contact Customer Service to have them look into things.

I am looking in game. I was not hacked, last i played it let the sub run out and did not restart until an hour ago. If someone hacked me and started my account back up it would show in the account history and theres nothing there.

My characters from before are simply gone.

Did you download the Live client, and not the EQ2x (free to play) client? The Free to Play people have a different client and different servers, so your character wouldn't show up there.

It is not an EQ2x issue and this is the ONLY eq2 account i have ever had. Just never posted on the forums.

Where are you from? Could you have accidently selected the wrong servers (I think default is US?) and thus not having your characters show?

(I'm just trying to help and think along here. I'm sorry if I'm stating the obvious or stuff you've already looked at, but if we can rule at least some reasons why you can't see your characters out, we might come closer to a solution )

Also are you logged into the right server set? English US and English EU are two different sets, plus there are German, French, and Japanese server sets. Have a look to see what dropdown you used on the launcher.

Hmmm.... that is baffling.

When you try and switch personas here on the forum, are they listed?

No, i have never used the EQ2 forums until now. The join date here ONLY refers to the forums it has nothing to do with your game account.

Figured it out. My fault. I guess you get EQ2 for free now so when i looked in this account saw i had it and assumed it was the right one. Turns out i had made another account during the steam deal and used that.

Oh well its better this way i guess no big loss.

Thanks for all the help.

They tend to use local slang. People using English as a second language do not have the experience with the language to properly generate slang. Therefore people using English as a second language tend to be more proper communicators, not necessarily better.

So, in essence, kids all over the world are the same. You pointing out that young Americas are poor communicators just points out that your a native English speaker who doesn’t like slang. Please apply simple logic to the situation before you form massive over all opinions.

Im sorry that the language barrier somehow made you misunderstand "No, it is not" and that "You get EQ2 for free now".

I made it perfectly clear this had nothing to do with EQ2X just because you couldnt get the message through your head does not somehow mean English is not my first language.
