View Full Version : Marketplace window and Research tab thinger

<p>I came back to the game last night after a few months away. I found out there are no longer researchers, I hit K to get my spell that was researched and there is no tab for it in my spellbook.</p><p>Also when I open marketplace the background is all black and the buttons are maroon but no words nothing on it.</p><p>If anyone can help please that would be fantastic. I use the default UI fyi.</p>

<p>You may want to do a full file scan from your patcher. </p><p>Or, if you don't use anything custom at all, go into the UI folder and delete the default folder so the patcher downloads it again.</p>

<p>Other than doing a full file scan and making sure you don't have any left over custom ui files the only other option is resinstalling the game. <p>Thanks so much for the replies, can you tell me how to do a full file scan on the patcher. Ive looked, but must have missed it some how. I did go through all my folders and found a couple of Profit files which i deleted. I logged back in but still same issue.</p><p>Thanks again!</p>

<p>Let us know if you get fixed.  You shouldn't need to do a complete reinstall as suggested above - just deleting the default folder in UI and running another scan should restore it with fresh files and (hopefully) resolve the problem.</p><p>I say shouldn't.. but who knows, maybe there's a problem in one of the client supporting files that is mucking it up and the Full File scan doesn't catch the corruption.  Worst case scenario is probably the reinstall.</p>

<p>Nope I havent in a while. That may be something worth trying. Thank you for the ideas. I am not going to do a full reinstall if I can avoid it.</p>

<p>I finally figured it out. After some googling and digging. Apparently EQ2 was located in 2 diff spots in my computer. One being a hidden folder called Program Data..that is where the ProfitUI had ended up.
