<p>I got the following message today:</p><p>Everquest2 requires the used of Direct3D which is not available on this machine. Please check the minimum game requirements. Error code 2001.</p><p>Last night and this morning I was able to run Beta, following changes today I get the above message and it will not allow me to even scan/update my files.</p><p>Any ideas? I already ran the microsoft update for Direct X.</p>

Please check the minimum game requirements.</p><p>I know for a fact my computer can run this and has Direct 3D.</p><p>So any help with this would be great</p>

<p>NVIDIA GeForce TTX 640, Win Vista 64.</p><p>I can load live game fine, today is the first time I tried to log in beta and I failed.</p>

<p>Unfortunately my beta information is very limited as I am not part of that support team. But I will do my best to track down the issues as quickly as I can. </p><p>Are you familiar with what driver version you are using on your video card?</p><p>You could also post your system and display section from DXDIAG here.</p>

<p>Here is our list of supported video cards. HD 5 series is not on the list but is supported (older list). <p>This is a known issue we are working on. It's not a video-card related problem.</p><p>You may be able to work around the issue by installing the latest DirectX runtime and then deleting the DX DLL's from your EQII Directory.</p>

<p>i tried the run around have up to date direct x got rid of the files launcher did a small update and then crashed out when i attempted to start the game. On attempting to start it again i got the same error message again.</p>

<p>I'm getting the same issue as well. Both Windows 7 (Ultimate and Pro)</p><p>One has a GTX 260m and the other a 8500 GT.</p><p>It at least attempted to reload the files, but still gave the same error.</p><p>Drivers are up to date.</p>
