I am trying to run my updater, which is set to accept updates. I have my firewall oriented to allow all file transfers for EQ2, Station and EQ2 Voice. However when attempting to patch today I am confronted by the following message:

There was a problem moving C:ProgramDataSony Online EntertainmentInstalled GamesEverQuest IIlp_tempEverQuest2.exe_delta_10059_380.patched to C:ProgramDataSony Online EntertainmentInstalled GamesEverQuest IIEverQuest2.exe. Please make sure the game is not running.

Station launcher will try again after 5 seconds.

The launcher then cycles and repeats. The "problem" isn't explained. I have verified my file pathing, however the download clearly isn't reaching the proper folder. Any suggestions?

Are you launching the Station Launcher as an admin?

Alternatively, you could do 2 things. Delete the LP_temp folder to have it re-download the files.

Or you can move to our latest LaunchPad for Everquest II. When installing it, select your existing folder to avoid re-downloading much of the game.

[EQII] LaunchPad

Still nothing. I don't understand why suddenly this isn't working when I haven't changed anything. Close the program when it's running fine, open it following an update...problems.

I tried deleting the LP_temp file, but when I tried to repatch I get the same error. For some reason it won't re-download the appropriate files. Clearly the breakdown is in the routing between the LP-temp file and the .exe file. When I check the properties of the LP_temp file there's a lock on it I can't remove. Maybe I'm just not adept at the file pathing. Maybe some clearer directions may help.

I've tried launching as admin and otherwise, neither works.

I downloaded the other launcer, directed it to my existing Everquest 2 file and it launches the game, however without my UI.

I've tried a full file scan and that won't download anything either.

I would advise you to continue using the latest LaunchPad I sent to you and to re-install your custom UI. You can copy the <servername>_<charactername>_eq2_uisettings.ini file from your previous installation to the game folder used by the latest Launchpad to preserve your UI settings.
