I don't play on a PvP server, but I've BGed enough to have opinions. First off, I hope that you level your character up to 39th for the 30-39 BG bracket since the 30's Legendary adornments can only be equiped on 38th level gear.

My honest suggestion would be a mix. On my end game Brigand, I prefer to run around in Defensive Stance and use the bonus +Mitigation from the Scout line of the TSO AA. (However I don't use the Def Stance upgrades in the Rogue line AA. I just don't think that the benefits are worth the 5 AA.) With that in mind, here's my adornment break down.

Defensive: +Health (helm slot), +Defense (ring slots)

Offensive: +Ability Modifier (ear slots, shoulder slot), +Weapon Skill (wrist slots, glove slot, boot slot), +DPS (neck slot, belt slot, chest slot), +Crit Chance / Multi-Attack (cloak slot, forearm slot, leg slot)

Weapons: (I use the +Crit Bonus adornments at the high levels. At the lower levels, I'm personally unsure whether the offensive Blasting or the defensive Mending adornments are more useful.)

Between the various defensive benefits of Def Stance and the couple of +Defense adornments, I find that my Brigand can stand up well against a tank in Def Stance. Also my defensive abilities, when combined with the +Weapon Skill adornments, allow me to have a high hit rate against your usual scout class who prefers to run around in Off Stance.
