View Full Version : At what point do you give up on AGI

Ok turned on exp dinged 90 put on all my gear I had been saving then got out my adornments and found after putting on 4 greater AGI adorns that adding 108 in agi from adorns didnt even move my avoidance or mit. had 1540 agi 1200stam before adorns. What is the agi to percentage? I know its not linear at that point but at what point would I be better with resistance or Wis. right now my avoidance is 60.4percent (Dirge penalty of the scouts) and 54.8 mit.no point in adding crit or double attack stuff adorns due to caps and have to get potency stuff for jewlery which is horrible.most my jewelery is not upgraded to 90 yet and am trying to figure going if agi will even help

Agility is an offensive stat for scouts, not really defensive. You can never have too much agility.

You go higher in groups, buffed. Any more and you suffer in other areas( IE potency, ability casting, etc. )

Just... lol. What are you talking about? I have over 1800 agility solo, so my potency and bonus are bad?

But youre sacrificing somewhere or you have the best gear ingame and are just melted butter uber.EQ2Players.com has you at 1712...EDIT: Ah and looking at your gear, you sir are an exception. Nice gear but not everyone is going to be in your gear range so yeah...a majority of people CAN sacrifice a lot by focusing too much on AGI.

my 1500+ is from full lvl 90 BG armor and 2 lvl 90 jewelery and my potency sucks

AGI increases damage overall of Autoattack, CA, Buff procs (COB,POM,VC).1200 to 1400 range is 25ish AGI is 1% overall increase.2000+ is somewhere in the 50 -60ish AGI is 1%.Question where the heck did you get the idea that high AGI would lower other stats?Gear within your archtype (SCOUT) has globs of AGI 40 to 70 AGI a piece.

For example, my scout dual wields the "Fighter" 1-hander from Tox Mound since the over all stats on it make up for only receiving around +25 AGI. At times, I have worn a "Fighter" oriented piece or two since they had the +Resists that I was looking for and their blue stats / procs were desireable. As a result of these gear choices, I have accepted a loss of a little AGI in return for having a stronger over all character (in my point of view).This is the situation of the OP. Where is the cut off between the value of around 20-40 AGI? That's what a raid scout would have to sacrifice when chosen between a low grade scout raid piece and a low grade tank raid piece. To be honest, it's a fair question.

thanks Yure the 25pt per percent at 1200 to 1400 and 50/60pt per percent at 2k+ was what I was looking for though It feels more like 100pt per percent at 15+ . I would like more date if anyone else has it. Yep Dareena hit it on my reasoning. While Agi is king I dont want to later give up expensive Agi times and adorns to bring up other effects. Given the diminishing returns dropping 70 Agi to get say 4 or 5 potency and some wis stamina don't look too bad. Agi vs resistance( from crit mit, wis, and resist)guess you could roll it into the avoidance vs mitigation theme and pay off curve.Trolled alot of threads and tried to check other sites and couldn't find numbers. We tell the newbies to get agi as scouts but what seems to be a sane stopping point. I believe that is what Hilt was pointing at when we neglect our other stats. I have seen some items with high wis and high potency( much higher then melee class items) I am thinking I could increase my over all damage from the potency increase and higher spell mitigation vs diminished AGI damage and almost nothing avoidance increase.

True there are a number of Tank pieces that benefit Scouts such as Swords, Bows.I tend to forget this as it becomes rather mute point once your raid forces pulls some of the harder mobs.
