Seeing how this is a lvl 60 quest with most mobs above this level, the reward of faction (useless since you already have enough faction with the courts at this point), the title of "Hero of Maj'Dul, the Ring of Fate is severely lacking in adjustments. This quest line is long and to be reward with a Fabled ring with stats fitting more for a T3. It does have the "Hand of Fate" effect on you, but honestly, its crap shoot since 4 out of the 9 effects have a bad outcome for the user. This needs a bump in stats to make it even worth while wearing for such a long quest.

You knew the reward when you undertook the quest. Maximum faction with every court is cool, and Hand of Fate actually has some still-relevant and fairly handy buffs, if you don't mind the occasional self-destruct. For a quest that is trivial with today's gear and AAs, what do you really expect? Nobody actually uses the signature quest weapons from past tiers either, but the quests are still worth doing for the experience (the actual play, not the points).

What I expect is a reward that befits the amount of time involved with a quest...especially for an item that is labeled Fable.

yeah when that quest was new, that ring was pretty [Removed for Content] nice. but yeah, it's years past that now...I still have the ring and occasionally still play with it

It's too bad it's such a long involved quest line that you can't even truly start till you're level 60, or I'd run it with all my alts. It's just too much of a pain to stop at the appropriate level and grind faction with each of the courts in turn to do their questlines, even if you've got a ton of insignias.

I got the ring on my main and one since, was great fun. Accidentally evaced a group away from the epic giant in icy digs when we had him down pretty low. Yes, you're not actually supposed to fight him, but we wanted to anyway. No great feat these days, I'm sure, but back then it was kinda crazy, even 10 levels over original level of the zone.
