I think I read somewhere Xalmat recommending using mage pet with Def. stance after the change made where mage pet uses the conjy's INT. My question is since the mage pet now uses my INT, is the INT penalty from the Def. stance still applied?

Another question specifically for Xalmat: do you ever sleep man? crazy conjuror indeed.

Yes, the penalty still apply.... but you shouldn't care.

Pet use your int for dmg, pet's int only affect it's power pool.

Things may or may not change with DoV and "extended" shared stats tho.
