I have this recurring problem and now I would like to find out if anybody else is experiencing this, think it must be a bug

Recently petitioned that one char couldnt pick up shineys in sf. he could anything else but everytime I tried the shiney would be clickable, collecting and then.... nothing.. still lying on ground grinning at me.

Petition worked and problem was solved. I was advised to clear cache and loginuscache if problem came up again which it did this weekend. I did and problem solved.. but now the bleeding bug came yet again..

Now I can keep deleting and petitioning but before I keep on doing that I would like to hear if this is indeed a bug or if its just me and my system that is acting up?

/cheers

We'll start off with clearing out any cached files that may be causing this issue for you.

You may want to make backups and then delete the following files and folders:cache foldereq2_recent.inieq2_default.iniEverQuest2.exee q2.iniAs well as the character specific files, these will appear as such:Servername_CharacterName_EQ2_uisettings.iniSt ationname_characters.iniTo do this, please follow these directions:1. First look for your EverQuest II directory. You can find the default directory in (for Windows XP): C:Program FilesSonyEverQuest II (for Windows Vista/7): C:Program DataSony Online EntertainmentInstalled GamesEverQuest II2. Click on MY COMPUTER and then proceed into local disk C:3. Navigate your way to the default directory, or your chosen installation directory.4. Next look for any files explained above and delete them. 5. Afterwards, please start EverQuest II to have these files re-downloaded by the patcher.

Then delete the Cache folder located at the same path. Make sure you are not deleting the asset_cache folder as this will prompt a hefty re-download.

This won't work if the issue is the group settings.

Get in a group with someone .. really anyone. Go to the group options

Options->group options-> there is an auto loot function here now and it defaults to decline for some reason. Change that and you should be fine.

(Just had this problem myself)

This is especially true if one is returning from a hiatus.
