Error: Run the EQ"Settings utility in the same directory

<p>I just tried to install the game from a disk on to my new pc.  I get to the launcher and as its about to start to download I get the following error:</p><p>ERROR: can not find game.   Please run the EQ2Settings utility in the same directory the game is installed in.</p><p>I also tried to reinstall the game from the official web site but after 3 days of download it only found an old character on an old server??? so I have unistalled it all and tried the disk method again but I keep getting that error.</p><p>Any info on how to sort this will be greatly received.</p>

<p>Greetings,</p><p>Your characters are tied to your account and is not dependant on which method you choose to install the game. I can help you find a missing character.
