Can my gnomish tinkered field repair be used to repair others?

<p>Says repairs targets armor but when I am grouped with someone, select them and try to use it... they don't repair?</p><p>Would be great if someone can clear this up. As people keep asking if my repair is up and to repair them when they get broken armor in groups etc.</p>

<p>It can only be used on yoru own armor. If they want a repair, tell them to buy their own darned patch kits!</p>

<p>They are likely getting confused with the tinkered repair bot, it spawns an npc that can be used to repair items.</p>
