For some reason my friend and I cannot switch from the EU to the US servers. He is in Canada and I am in the US. It's happening exactly the same way for both of us. We were playing on Runnyeye, got the message it was going down and decided to switch to the US server. We logged out, reopened Launchpad as usual, switched the server, clicked "Play" both noticing there was no "Update", and watched as we got logged right back onto our character screen on Runnyeye. We've tried restarting our pcs, restarted our routers, we tried the German server, the test server, etc. Nothing is switching it away from Runnyeye. What can we do to fix it? I put in a ticket but haven't heard a word. We have lost a whole night we wanted to play together messing around with this thing.

I want to rule out a possible permission issue before we dig in any deeper. Are you launching the LaunchPad as an administrator? It may not be able to save the settings change necessary to tell the LaunchPad that you made the region switch. This is done by right-clicking the LaunchPad icon and selecting Run as administrator. Let me know if that lets you switch Regions.

We had both been switching to and from the servers for many months. Nothing on either of our pcs in either country we live in had changed. Yes I do run everything as administrator and so does he. This was a sudden change that happened to both of us living in completely different countries at the same time. We gave up since it was taking so long to get an answer to my support ticket and got the Station Launcher. It has no problem switching servers thankfully. But the Station Launcher wanted completely different folders for each region we play on so we had to go through alot of downloading. (We play on US, EU and German servers.) I don't understand why launchpad would suddenly change, but at least we can get on there now without it.

Without more information, information that I may not even know to ask directly, it would be very difficult to diagnose the issue with your LaunchPad. I am glad that Station Launcher is working for you but I've been unable to reproduce your LaunchPad issue as on all machines here in the office, even a pair of machines with induced issues, we were able to switch freely between all regions. I am still trying other methods to recreate this.
