All I can think of is how a bunch of folks who worked really, really hard to level up their Guild to 90 to get this:

http://www.tentonhammer.com/node/83...?size=_original

feel. Well played.

Looks cool, but I'm biding my time until some angel wings are available. I'm tired of running Shard of Love everyday hoping for the Valorous Wings to drop.

You have to understand, SOE needs the money to develop other games since they all bomb.

Why are you complaining? You can get discs from BG tokens which is how I got one for "free" for one of my characters.

I have been opposed to both of these since their inception. But 2010 has changed the circumstances. Review your own list. Items with stats, items better than those to be earned in game. Everyone has their breaking point, and mine has been reached. No..you may not have my stuff. I deleted it all.

But you derail the thread.

This item, like many of the new items being introduced the the Marketplace, is just another example of how much SOE cares.

A lot of folks may not know they can earn similar items in the game by spending a ton of time, status and plat and get something that is almost as good as what their wallet can give them today.

Just sayn'.

There's faction discs in SF that are 68% (I believe) with stats. All of those are "free" in terms of not spending a dime other than your subscription.

What items are for sale that are better than what can be earned?

Got a disc - nice item. I don't mind the marketplace and all - and folks need to be aware that SOE has not taken it anywhere near as far as other online games. Case in point I just increased by bank storage in LoTRO and am consedering getting their equivalent of an AA ability. I think just about everyone is looking at thier bottom lines and realizing that people wil pay, especially for non-fluff goods and services. I hope SOE continues to improve thier marketplace offerings as I really like eq2.

Malliver

That disc is good only till you spend the time in-game to earn something better.

Let em eat cake. Who cares?

If someone wants to spend money on something because they like the look, or its better than what they currently have, more power to 'em.

This is a case where the Station Cash item IS earned elsewhere, only it's better in the earned-in-game method! This isn't one of the ones to complain about guys (if there are actually any... ).

Like people are saying, the BG disc is 12 plat and 500,000 Status.. it's not without some cost/time required, but if you don't have 500,000 on your Main, you haven't been playing your Main for long. You can do that pretty quick with a Crafter. See? A nice way to earn a better item than the one being sold, in case you're vehemently opposed to SC.

And it doesn't have Safefall/glide/whatever stat that the quests/bg/faction discs have. Basically it's a horse with a disc illusion unless the in-game description is incorrect.

EQ2 has the most bank spaces and the most inventory slots with house vault slots that can be expanded with all of those being expandable by rather large bags, bigger than I've seen or heard about in any other game. EQ2 also has house item slots (which were recently increased for no charge) and a house item storage box (which was recently seperated from the house item count, doubling house item storage and at no charge). Then the guild bank slots which can't be expanded with bags but is still a substantian number. Last but not least the broker slots which can be expanded with containers.
