A dev posted before the holidays:

Illusionists:We've made some significant DPS tweaks, including completely replacing Construct of Reason with a new and improved damage spell. Your DPS should end up pretty well balanced with your Coercer friends.I have heard absolutely nothing on this front. I did not get into beta so no clue if SOE devs just decided to screw us again or not. Anyone in beta seen any of these changes?

You've heard nothing of it because theres nothing to be told at this time. Even if someone in beta knew, they wouldnt be able to tell you because of the NDA

Since no one has yet posted for you, I'll throw it out there.

The biggest change Illusionists are going to notice is that your "Construct" line has been replaced by "Theorems". Theorems works much like Hostage does for a Coercer. Some of your AA's have been altered to give you some upgrade options for Theorems.

The new AA's are shared between Enchanters, but Theorems is uniquely Illusionist. I don't have much more than that to share, as I'm a Coercer now (formerly Illusionist).

Psychic Trauma is one of the endline choices in the heroic tree that's quite nice. Especially if it procs more than 10 times up to the max of 20. I tried to get it to go off when time warp was up to see if it doubled but I wasn't able to spend much time to see. I don't think it did but I'm sure someone here would know.

The new itemization and gear changes will have an effect as well but we won't know to what extent until we get deeper into the expansion.

Didn't have much time to play on beta as I would have liked but we should see a minor dps bump from day one. With pet shared stats the new illy spell trigger and our encounter dots triggering faster and refreshing quicker. Or at least that was what I saw the few times I could log in.

I was totally confused, having just come back from a few years break, to find that my Construct spell was not casting a pet, when it was a week or two ago. This pet was highly beneficial to the soloing Illusionist. I am disappointed that we lost one of our soloing tools, since DPS does not matter if you are not alive to cast spells. Just my 2 copper pieces worth.
