So, I recently picked up the Sentinel's Fate discs from a friend of mine, included was the 14 day free trial slip.

Signed that up, got it all setup and ready to go.

Installed the game, it patched up, and will load all the way up to the "Launch Game" button.

When I launch though, it loads for a bit, and then tells me window's found an error with EQ2 and had to unexpectedly close.

Oh, then it kindly tells me "Sorry for the inconvenience"

So after about a week of fruitlessly searching the forums for a post on this, I've come here.

Try using this installer/patcher to get into the game.

So, downloaded, new launcher, and no dice. Same error, it updates like 58.8 mb of somethin' from the launcher, and then proceeds to start, and then the same windows error. Should I post my crashlog info?

Let's try clearing the games settings to see if it helps.

You may want to make backups and then delete the following files and folders:

cache folder

eq2_recent.ini

eq2_default.ini

EverQuest2.exe

eq2.ini

As well as the character specific files, these will appear as such:

Servername_CharacterName_EQ2_uisettings.ini

Stationname_characters.ini

When you say Cache, do you mean the Assetcache folder? That's the only one I can seem to find.

There should be a folder called cache. If you do not have that folder, just skip over that one.
