Okay, on one account, regardless of which of my two installations I use, I can login just fine. On the other account, regardless of which installation I use, I get "An error occured trying to access EverQuest II Streaming." with error code 1001. It also is "unable to fetch news."

It kind of boggles the mind that one account logs in with no issues on either of the two installations but the other will not. I played both around 6 hours ago.

**EDIT** Okay, scratch that, now neither will load and get the same error.

I am getting this issue also since today's patch.

Edit: I am getting the problem on one account, but a second account accessed from the same computer and installation is able to log in.

I am not sure if this will work for everyone but I was using the "remember me" option and logging out manually and then logging back in did the trick for me.

Same here... Try to log in and it's unable to fetch news then a pop up arrives that says: An error occured trying to access EverQuest II Streaming. Error Code: 1001 The play button then says: Unable To Play This is not good for us addicts who NEED to get into the game...

I am getting the same error. I have been "unable to fetch news" for the past week and now since the patch today, I cannot log in at all.

Got mine to work -- at least for now. (Using streaming client)

Clicked options, forced a scan. When it was complete, closed options and the button changed to update. Clicked and got in game. Not sure if it will continue to be ok or not, but it at least worked that time.

Okay, bailed out of the game once inside and tried to go back in.

I have it set to remember me, and when it opened, same error as before (code 1001). I repeated the process ( Options > Scan, Close Options ) and it lit up for me again. Workaround seems to only work for that particular session.

I tried logging out, closing, logging back in without remembering, scanning... Repeat, and remembering me doesn't affect it -- have to scan every time.

Not working for me at all.

I can log in to one account, but not another. I cannot even force a scan when trying to log in to my second account.

Yea, the forced scan works "per session" but is not a permanent fix. Still unable to fetch news either way.

There always seems to be a few kinks that need worked out and it seems to take a while for someone to show up and explain the situation. You would think that a game you must pay to play would be on top of it. Iono... just my 2 cents which aren't worth much but still...

Either clearing the cache or performing a full scan (or a combination of both) using the streaming client should bypass the 1001 error.

It worked for me until I actually started logging into the game after pressing the Play button, it says that the login is rejected and that the client's build does not match the server's. Please re-run that patcher.

Any suggestions?
