Some way to access my bank from anywhere. A house in particular. Not often, but just once in awhile. Something like a repair bot (with maybe a longer cooldown) so that you couldn't use it all the time would be really nice.

*Note: I put this here in the tradeskill forum because it just seems like it would be a good tinkered gadget.

I suggested a home atm type machine before in the forums and was shot down by the community. I still think it would be a good idea.

Can't say I've ever felt the need for this. Most of us are sociable and have guild houses where we do crafting, banking, etc. Something I'd love to have, that would benefit more people, is a guild-only broker.

There used to be a hole in the UI scripts that let you do just that. It's long, long since been closed.

I think an in-home bank vault would be a good idea. There's no reason why home owners cant stow away some extra cash if they want or need.

I don't think there should be an option to access your bank ANYWHERE you like, because there's already a banker in every overland zone, inner city, village, and then some anyway. Accessing your bank from the house isn't an unreasonable thing though.

Then go to the house you need to decorate and open the house vault there (same method) I just verified this still works.

Good idea but perhaps limited in the number of people that would need it, you mentioned you have two accounts why not get a gofer?

Just have a toon from the city you are in on the alternate account run to the bank/broker/friend to get the item and bring it to the house you are working on?

I always had a baby troll in eq1 because with the right god he could travel all sorts of places most of my toons couldnt to pick up items.

We used to be able to

/bag_open -1

/bag_open -2

etc. We couldn't remove or add items to the bank, but at least we could look at the contents to see if we forgot a quest update item. Just another consequence of EQ2X.

A number of years ago you were able to open the bank windows anywhere, you just couldn't do anything except, as Feldon said, rifle through the bags to see what you had in there (mah pally, and possibly temp, still have the macro ah made)

Yeah I was sad when I realized those don't work anymore, the best use was if you were in a raid or group zone and forgot if you had an item that dropped. It doesn't matter if it's lore, not ever item is and if it is, still tons of reasons it can mess things up for your group if everyone is lottoing greed.

I would expect a tinkered item if anything ever like the mender bot, or the mailbox one (replacing that would be nice since it was pretty useless when it came in, could have been great in the old days).

feldon30 wrote:

We used to be able to

/bag_open -1

/bag_open -2

Actually, we used to be able to sell stuff to the Mender bot. But of course that had to be ruined because of Battlegrounds. PvP, Battlegrounds, EQ2X, SC. They can tell you it won't affect PvE. But it does.

House amenities in 2011

Bank, buy from broker, sell status items and bat ears, access to the GH harvester box by an erudian telelinker. Probably access to crafter writs by an erudian telelinker

Incident: 110102-000xxx is only one example. Stuck in GH and needed CS to move me to Antonica. Even if the CS is quite fast on keyword Stuck. ATI crossfire and EQ2 arent friends exactly...

And the epic orchestra in the GH starts to ruin my nerves, just as the loading times. Unfortunately i want some sort of audible feedback when crafting. Cant switch to MP3 or off.
