Apologies for the slight delay due to the holiday period - we're aware they're not up for sale yet and will be correcting that as soon as possible. Will keep you updated! In the mean time, glad you like the looks of them - that is indeed a sweet looking sword, thanks to the artistic talents of Gnobrin, if I recall correctly. I think my swashbuckler alt may be eyeing it too!

Wow imagine that even more clothing that looks nice, to further shove the nose of tailors that hoped we might actually ever be able to create something as good as this in game. Ooops I forgot our earning pp doesnt but green in the big machines pockets as well.

/sarcasm off

All of the casual clothes on the marketplace don't fit on the SOGA halfling male. Otherwise, I would purchase more of them.

There are big gaps between the pants and waist and on the chest and back. The skin graphics don't go far enough down the chest or the back of the neck to meet with the tops of the shirts. You can't see this in the dressing room, but it looks horrible on the in-game characters.

I keep forgetting to bug it in game.

Shame on SOE 'cos it seems like quite a quick fix to the script that would make these overlaid tags cease absorbing mouse-clicks. Good job players like Shazzie have figured out a work-around.

Icons without the "Hot" and "New" text should still be right-clickable as before.

I miss the days of seeing a player with a cool item and I'd ask them how they got it and they would tell me a story filled with adventure and excitment and I would gather my friends to go out and try to obtain one for myself.

Now the cool items come from the Marketplace. Take a deep breath and read my WHOLE statement if you would, please. First off, I like the SC stuff. I am now a new vampire with the cool wings. So right off the bat, you're yelling at the choir.

Secondly, you'll notice I said "for most of EQ2's existence". You are absolutely correct in your statement about epics and whatnot, but these are fairly recent additions compared to the whole EQ timeline. And a lot of them started when we were already getting cool-looking stuff from LoN, so it kind of backs up my argument. Yes, there are absolutely some really cool items in-game. However, these are few and far-between, while most of the stuff uses the same models and whatnot. And---I'll say it again---if SOE had introduced more quested/obtained/whathaveyou items in game (many more than existed) BEFORE LoN and SC, I don't think people (NOT ME, OTHER PLAYERS WHO ARE VEHEMENTLY ANTI-SC) would be as upset by their purchasable existence.

And for your information, in addition to loving shiny stuff I'm also a questaholic, so I have many, many of those things you mentioned (the ones I can use with my class, anyway). So I'm with you there as well. At nearly 2700+ quests, I daresay "lazy" isn't one of the adjectives you can use for me. There are many you can, but that isn't one of them.

The truth of the matter is that most of the drops, be they armour or weapons, in the history of EQ2 have been underwhelming in appearance. Most of the crafted stuff is bland as well. If there had been more diversity brought in *before* SC came to be, I think people wouldn't have minded as much.

Honestly, I just like shiny stuff. How I get it (or how anybody else gets it) at the end of the day is meaningless to *my* personal playstyle. Just don't tell me I can't get it at all---*that* would annoy me.

Just because you can't get these particular models in game doesn't mean that there are no cool items to be had in game. There are tons of truly awesome looking weapons and armor that are available in game, you're just not looking or don't care to. Epics, for instance. Class helms, for another. gear that has the appearance of relic that was recently added (relic looked pretty nice) to the KoS questlines, the faction gear made in RoK, Shard gear, Rime gear. There are 11ty billion ways to get some nice looking gear. maybe not THESE models, but for a cool weapon that's not your epic, get yourself a Gotrot the Flayer, Tarinax's Spine, The axe from Hollow Hedge, The legendary bows from EoF and TSO... just to name a few Look at all the freaking awesome shields we have in this game. The BG shield, The Qeynos Guard, Wall of Eyes.... again, just to name a few.

Quit being so darned lazy and actually look around for yourself and appreciate the art that's available to you, instead of getting on a "there's nothing cool in the game because SC is SO EVIL" bandwagon that isn't actually true.

Okay there, cowboy.

We had a ton of new and interesting armors and weapons added with SF, drop by any mark vendor to see a small portion of them. Some of them are recycled models, but a LOT of them are not. Again, just because you can't get this exact model, doesn't mean there is no cool stuff added to the game outside SC. I mentioned epics, yes, which was 4 expansions in, but I also mentioned relic gear and Gortrot the Flayer and Tarinax's spine, which were 2 expansions in.There were new mace and sword models in DoF, one expansion in, new sword models and improved textures during the third expansion...

we're at expansion 6 now, and there is cool stuff in every expansion. The treasured stuff is all recycled, and so is the MC stuff, as far as appearance goes, but that's as should be. Treasured appearance for treasured play...

Sadly these days your appearance is directly related to how much money you were willing to pay SOE, it's kind of sad honestly. It's pathetic that a lvl 10 newbie could have better looking armor than someone who has killed the most difficult dragon in the game.

Remember when SoE would tell us all how incredibly difficult it was to make new armor, yet it seems that every week or so they somehow find the time to make more marketplace items. But that's a totally different team right and all the proceeds of SC goto EQ2 right............................

I disagree. Appearance can be something you work for, but it need not be. Nor should it need to be an interminable grind. Some level of grind is necessary for it to be a MMORPG, but you shouldn't have to look ugly doing it.

I didn't mind grinding out the stupid harvests and sitting in Chelsith for hours for my epic, because that's an important weapon statwise there was other stuff I could use for appearance. But hiding nice appearances behind raids and grinds is not fun to me. It's not necessary either, witness the super hero MMOs.

Well I think it's a crying shame that what you accomplish in the game isn't shown anymore in your appearance. There should be cool items to quest for etc but the sad truth is there aren't. Take that fancy new sword on the marketplace, that should be rewarded to people for doing quests/killing mobs not just for those who are willing to whip out the credit card.

Where's the fun aspect of working on your character, you may as well be playing some sort of online barbie shopping game where you dress up your virtual barbie/ken doll.

Take for example the tier 3 raid armor, EVERY SCOUTS T3 ARMOR LOOKS THE SAME! I work on my characters because they get more powerful and can do different things. I don't like having my appearance be bound up in a quest or gear grind. My two 90s are substantially more powerful than they were when SF was released. After raiding, questing, grouping in instances they have much more wealth and really nice gear that has allowed them to solo mobs that would have crushed them back in February. However, during that whole time, I've enjoyed how they've looked because of some Marketplace gear I bought a while ago.

I don't think appearance is something that one should have to do much 'work' for. I love it that everyone can look cool. Raiders get plenty rewarded. I'm not downing hardmode mobs, but I am raiding and I do get rewarded for it just fine. I do quest and get rewarded for it.

let's all roll back to 2004-2007 when there was no appearance slot, where nothing matched anything else... I want my pink helmet and pants, green and purple shoulders, red and black BP, and blue boots from KoS back.

I love the way this sword looks, thanks for making it!

Is there any chance you can make another version of it that is symbol/secondary (but keep the sword graphic) so us non-dual wielders can pretend we are?
