where did this come from?!

<p>I found the pages - you know, the ones scattered around antonica and commonlands -  i found the book, i found the ink.  I read in another post that this quest had been turned off?? (obviously if it had, I wouldn't be ablt to find the pages etc) </p><p>Where's the ash? or is this the piece they have turned off? I have been around grorwyn beaches, and lavastorm beaches, but I don not see the ash?  Any confirmation of this part being active/not would be helpful.</p><p>Cheers</p>

<p>you can find the ash in either lavastorm or Timorous deep. The exact location seems to vary from server to server, but you should find it on the beach.</p>

<p>Yeah... hmmm...  I had a map somewhere...  I thought maybe I linked it on BiblioNorrath but not only did I not, but the information there is slightly skewed.</p><p style="padding-left: 30px;">"- Some <a href="http://eq2.zam.com/db/item.html?eq2item=4d69c55805ec6e0d85a5988ce48b4d20" target="_blank">fine volcanic ash</a> from a pile of dirt on the ground in a random location on the Gorowyn isle of Timorous Deep or along the beach in Lavastorm."</p><p>There are specific locations in Timorous Deep where it can spawn, but each time the server is reset (e.g., going down and coming back for patches and such) the ash on that server has a chance to spawn in one of the other specific locations.  The link given takes you to EQ2 Zam which has some Timorous Deep locations.  Lavastorm is typically the easiest though, as Cusashorn said!</p>

When it was V`Wak went to the beach in LS looking for the ash but couldn't find any, and she certainly wasn't going to go around to the NW beach (she went swimming not far off the 'dock' and didn't realise there were some nasty high level sea-life as well, 2 hits and she was soggy burnt toast)</span></p>

<p>I was running an alt through LS on Sunday and gathered up a volcanic ash. Was running around clicking on dirt piles to do the Far Seas quests and found it in my bags while cleaning them out. Can confirm that you still get it on Permafrost. I was only clicking on dirt piles in the level 80 area and the area just through the tunnel though. Didn't click anywhere on the beach where the low level lizards are.</p>
