I am currently 2 boxing with SK and Fury. I am leveling an Inquisitor to replace the Fury. I am only level 71 so far, but hopefully we will get double exp with the Holidays and I will get into the 80s at least. I am light on AA right now, but I have almost 100 collections ready to turn in. So if we do get double exp I should be able to pop that up quite a bit.

My assumption is that the Inquisitor will provide better DPS and survivablity for less work. Currently my Fury is a bit too squishy to auto attack on many named fights. So there is a lot of Alt-Tab button pushing to get any DPS. On harder fights my attention is focused on my SK and heals so I get just about 0 DPS from the Fury.

If it helps with the advice, I am currently 2 boxing Library, most of Conservatory, first named in Labs and scaled 90 TSO instances. I don't raid, so no raid gear on the SK or Inq. I will group some also, but my first focus is 2 boxing heroic content and perhaps a little epic level 80 content. In general I plan to grab every auto attack/DPS bonus I can find and bump heals as I can.

In looking at AA threads it seems like there is a big split betwen Divine Recovery and Holy Shield. Just about everyone takes Steadfast, then some take DR and some take HS. For 2 boxing which is better? I am very uncertain about the "except when direct" clause on HS. Can I protect the SK with Holy Shield or are most AOEs going to be direct and therefore I would only be protecting the Inq? Secondarily does Shield Ally make a big difference for the SK?

For the Inquisitor tree, the big split seems to be Reach of Faith vs. the Punishments endline. If 99% of the time the Inq is on auto follow, then it doesn't seem like I would need the extra range.

Finally, is Enhanced Verdict worthwhile? It's a lot of points and the description is a bit vague.

But HS seems like a waste to me on the tank percpective, being the tank will have the aggro all AOE will be directed at them. I could maybe see its use in a 3 box with a mage setup so you could avoid a few hits if its AOE heavy in the fight, but otherwise useless imo. DR is also a short duration. It however is a group effect, that increases cast speed and ability recovery. This isnt necessarily helpful in normal mob fights, but can be. Its more a boss mob thing or when you get lots of debuffs stacked against you affecting your cast speed.

I took reach of faith for a while. to be perfectly honest the extra radius is nice but the AA to get to it is better spent elsewhere...like in punishments. Dont get me wrong though. I still took emergency reactives and the sacred armor buff as they help out its just I dont think its is worth that much AA. One thing to note though...reach of faith affects all spells AND abilities. contrary to what it says. I would be in a dungeon and use my AOE Litany Circle from the Battle line and pull stuff from all over the place. Just fair warning to watch what you are doing.

Ive read the answer is no. So I never put points into it. Verdict always worked fine as is so I didnt see a reason to argue either. But if you try it let me know.

Also you say you do a lot of alt tabbing. Have you looked into maybe a dual screen setup and running one on each?

just a thought that might work so u can mouse click each better.

Thanks for the advice. That's kind of the way I was thinking.

And I do have 2 monitors. So what I do is have my mouse on the main monitor with my SK. Then if I need to heal, etc. I Alt-Tab to the other window and type a quick key (some of which have macros). Then as soon as I click on another icon in the SK window (cause I never moved my mouse) that window is active again. For some less common spells, I do have to move my mouse to the other window to click.

It works fairly well, but there is only so much you can put on the first 12 hot bar slots which is all I use right now. I may have to train myself to use the Alt and Ctrl hotbars as well.

The biggest problem I have with the Alt-Tab method is that sometimes I don't type it right and I end up in the SK window still but I think I'm healing myself. And on joust fights if I heal right before I have to joust sometimes I have the wrong window active and move the Fury instead of the SK breaking auto follow.

When I am boxing its usually multiple laptops. The inq box has all the combat arts macroed to key 1, all the debuffs on 2, all the heals on 3, all the reactive heals on 4. 5 is macroed to target tankname;follow. I just drive the tank around the mobs so that inq is also in melee range and start hammering the 1 key and throw in the rest as needed.

you could still sorta do this with one machine but i think your inq dps will suffer.
