Yeesh, I too hope those of us qualifying for the race by buying the expansion also qualify for this too. If not this is going to be another big slap in the face to the loyal subscribers.

Hopefully things are clarified soon.

Vamp Lair would be housing off mmc or something like that area. Just my guess anyways...

I haven't read any of the lore they are putting out but I would guess you could find out where the lair might be from that. /shrug

Well, since this was on a Station Cash webpage, I'm pretty sure this will be the vampire (pack) offered through station cash everyone was expecting this month.

The vamps we get in Feb. will probably just be the race with no lair or bats illusion.

They have to make the Station Cash vamps more appealing so people will spend their money on it.

One of the dev posts (not sure who offhand) mentioned that the vampires would have "imperceptible beauty" style weapons to highlight their vampiric claw attack animations. I'm guessing this is probably the accessory pack.

Amnerys posting a reply to something like this isn't like us clicking the post reply button and spewing whatever we want all over the internetz. There will be research, emails back and forth for clarification, and then it will be submitted to someone who won't have the time to read it and will rubber stamp whatever is there, but it will still take a few hours to get into that person's rubber stamp queue.

But thats really up to the player if they want to buy it or not. The people complaining about all this vampire stuff, its really quite simple and It's been stated countless times on these forums by developers that people who don't want to purchase this stuff on the market place can wait and have it given to them through rewards. It's really a simple concept really and I don't see why people are complaining. SOE like every other company out there (Including Blizzard) makes games for money and not to put smiles on peoples faces. They are in the buisness of making money, bottom line and if there is a way for them to make money they will do it. Believe me, although I see your point, it's a little rediculas. But whatever, if people want to waste their money like that. Then go ahead. Who cares. I got better things too do with my time then worry if some guy wanting to rack up 200$ on his credit card because he couldnt wait for a few months till it was given through rewards for free.

Once games oriiginally designed for F2P started making money hand over fist over games who were P2P these companies started really taking notice. I've played some of these games, and frankly I liked the P2P model better. I spent less here than I did in games like Perfect World for example. Which is one reason why I'm back playing this. I just hope SOE don't make the CS here contain items that will make or break our gameplay here. Appearance items, and Fluff great I'm all for it. But if/when they start selling gems to install on our armor/gear that will make us ubber. Or things like that, then it will ruin the game.

If they are making the Vampire Lair an item for the CS I'm fine with that. Please don't start putting in items to affect gameplay, at least listen to us players on that issue if nothing else.

People play on it as their only server. The characters aren't wiped, and you're allowed to level instead of using the buffer guy that is only on Test Copy. So, spending money and SC on Test is completely understandable.

It's a real full server that's never wiped with a perisitant community. The only thing that makes it a test server is that it sees content and patches a little sooner than the normal servers, it also always has double exp. There's nothing fake or temporary about it though. I'd play there all the time if it had more people on it.

I just went and looked at it. I think it is rather ugly. While I didn't expect some decrepit thing I wasn't expecting some poor mans attempt at a mansion either. 15 seems a lot to ask for it as small as it is and the fact they just reused assets. The other thing I've never understood is several of the houses don't take into account the furniture available. I mean I don't expect the EQ2 people to be interior decorators, but come on have some sense of aesthetics. You are artists for cripes sakes.

Edit: Oh, and doors.
This all comes from MMC, one of my favorite zones.

I have not been able to find this on SC or an official posting that it is released. From what I see though it would seem the accessory pack is "sold separately" for 1500 SC?

What price did they put on the Vampire race to unlock it?

imho a much beter lair to fit with the vamp lore would be just like haven on the pvp server.

a big underground cave, with several rooms to decorate. i bet haven would actualy have more room then the lair they have on the marketplace.
