Full Screen Flickering and Corruption [Archive]

As of recently I've noticed a growing trend in gameplay when it comes to a graphic 'mess up'. Lately, random events occur in game which as caused my screen to flicker to black and back to game in rapid succession several times ... until it stops and the graphics around are currently corrupted, or that my driver has to shut down and reset.This has only recently happened, and on testing, this is the only game I've seen this occur, I cannot replicate the problem anywhere else. I've tried listing location places where it has become commonplace for me to experience.Locations:Halas - Going up the ramps from the docks.Timmorous Deep - Taking the Griffon from the Docks to Chrykori IsleSolusek's Eye - Bottom level where there are glass platforms and lava everywhereI know I'm not the only one since several of my friends have reported similar incidents, all using different configurations for their computer setups. All of which have updated drivers, did a system check, scan, etc.I'm curious to know who else has been experiencing this and if the EQ2 team is aware of the issue.(P.S. Yes I did a search before this, I found nothing relating to the matter.)

Do you have shader 3.0 enabled? If so, see if disabling it helps. Does lowering the performance setting in the options menu make a difference? If you can please post the contents dxdiag file, up to and including the sound devices section.To generate the dxdiag file:1. Press the Windows and R key on your keyboard2. A box will appear, type dxdiag into it and press enter3. Click the save all information button and save the file to your desktop

It is not a shader 3 issue. I bet he has an nvidia graphics card though. All reports of the issue I have seen and that I have experienced were for people with nvidia graphics cards. Another known location for the issue is cella, particullarly on the bridge before the second to last name.SilatEdit: this thread has further discussion on it.
