<p>The newbie armour sets from the starter areas were apparently changed to match the ones from Halas in appearance.  It was mentioned in another thread a while back.</p>

<p>Yeah, mages and a few other classes (druids, I think?) get the old Halas fur armor in any of the starting zones now. It was a poor change. Even if they wanted to keep stats the same across all the zones, each zone should have had its own look.</p>

<p>Yeah they made ALL the starting zone armor share appearances (though the scout set isnt anything to complain about) the mage armor doesnt make any sense at all if youre from Gorowyn or Kelethin.. tbh the need to change all the newbie gear back to having their old appearance, it was a pretty dumb change imo..</p>
