hi there,

as a lot of people one aspect i love about eq2 is it's lore, it's evolving stories. there is so much lore in the game that is very cool. BUT in my opinion, the way it is presented in game doesn't make it very attractive. i'll explain :

- don't remember the name of the npc in the queynos mage tower who sells a lot of lore book, well is he the only one (apart from the ones in the other cities..) ?

my point is that i fell that a lot of those histories in those book are not seen by a lot of player, either because they don't it exist or because the way those book work is tedious.

- those lore book : kill x thing to read a page and then do it again 100 times is not fun. not at all. you do it 1 2 or 3 times but not more.

What i would like : a way to have all this lore discovered while playing the game normally, that is doing quest and dungeon and xp around, but not raid, lore should be avaible in solo play.

- may be create a new interface with all the lore in it but blank at the begining. and it would unveil with specific action or kill certain non-heroic named mob. may be a system like what they did in warhammer online.

- the book would still be there but may be appear in inventory only after completing the part of lore relevent.

ok, my opinion. there is a lot a work put in this lore and it should be a part of the game play experience.

now your thoughts.

Well ther Tower in mara has a guy who sells Whistling Fist Lore. A lot of the rest of have to be found in-game.

Note: I tend to avoid many of the "History of" Books as they still increase item count and are the old style book interface.

Most of the books found at the sage in the tower were quests first put in when the game went live. They just haven't been updated to a more managable form of questing.
