Hello,

I've got a question about the Inquisitor as part of a duo. I'm getting ready to start an Inq alt, and will be mostly using the character to duo with friends' characters. One of those characters will be a crusader, so the Inq seems like a solid fit from what I've read.

I'm wondering, though, about duoing with a Monk. I've read that the Monk does better with a Shaman because of the Wards matching better with the monk's avoidance and lower mitigation. That makes sense -- but I'm wondering whether a Monk / Inq duo is still effective. For instance, could the pair do well in say, Chardok or something like that at appropriate levels?

Or is there enough of a difference that it would be worth also leveling a Mystic or Defiler to partner with the Monk? That would be OK, I guess, but I'm just wondering how the Inq / Monk pair does if anyone has experience with that.

(ps -- No raid gear for any toons involved, for what that's worth.)

Thanks.

While not perfect Inq + Brawler does work, but you should change your casting pattern: - Debuff the attack skills of your opponent first. (gives you more time between hits) - Wile reactive are still nice to have up it is more important to use the direct heals to heal the brawler to full hp after a hit. - Also do nor underestimate the STR / INT debuff. That can reduce the incoming damage by a significant amount making the healing easier. If you keep that in mind you can heal a brawler through all heroic content, but it will be more "work" then doing so with a plate tank.

Thanks for the reply; that makes sense -- I think without having played the class, I was more fixated on the unique healing types (wards vs. reactives) rather than thinking about the effectiveness of the direct heal / debuff combinations.

Along those lines, it seems like the Inquisitor also has a few more crowd control tricks for breaking up groups of mob's -- at least for part of a fight -- with the root, fear and short mez. It seems like keeping one of a group out of commission for half the fight could make up for some healing efficiency, but I guess we'll see how that works in practice.

Anyhow -- thanks again.
