I'd just love if this little eq1 feature would come to eq2. It'd be nice to lock the game from click happy 6 year olds.

Layout.. Haha I laugh(ed) at those. Yeah... It's not like I had a staircase or anything and I was having zone in issue nyways, it needed to be redecorated and toned downed on the clutter. It still hurts, I will now use layouts at least to save what my house looks like )

Or you could get a screensaver that has a password setting.

Set it so that if you're away from the computer for a couple of minutes or more, it switches to the screensaver and you have to enter a password to return.

I always /camp desktop if I am going to be away from keyboard for longer than a bio or to switch laundry over, myself. Because otherwise my cats play the game.

Actually, even when I am here, my cat Tigger will sometimes sit atop the monitor leaning over watching the screen upside down and bat at the monsters. I killed Lord Vyem with his assistance a few times back in the day!

Mind you my screensaver with password was on a 5 min timer, and it was a bio break that caused the housing incident of doom.

She isn't just click happy, she jumped on in the time I got up & went to bathroom, zoned out of guild hall, and low & behold walked into Irontoes, navigated the spiral staircase that still gives me pause and bought an inn room lol.

I think /pass would be added protection, but by all means not everything I'd do. The screensaver is now on a 2 min timer with pass, and I am hoping with diglience it won't happen again.

I think /pass would be a great idea, too. You should also be ctl+alt+del and select Lock on your Windows computer. That might help a bit.

But.. umm.. as tragic as the OP's story is, it's also rather amusing (since I have neither 6 yr old nor cat, well no cat at this time at least). My former roomate's cat knew where my auto-attack button was (=) and tried to get me killed when I played EQ2 and I wasn't paying him enough attention. He also knew where the "sleep" button was on that keyboard and, even though it never worked for me, it worked for him every time. Mo, my former roomate's cat) would also interrupt spells once he figured out that 'space' would make the character jump. And he just loved the kitty pet of my roomate's Vah.

Rijacki:

I can't imagine a cat that smart, mine just lay on the floor and whine if they aren't fed. And thanks for the ctrl-alt-del heads up, I didn't know that would lock a computer.

My daughter had a severe talking to and we reset all the machine's to a 2 min screensaver w/password. I don't care if I am just turning around to talk to the kids, it needs to lock itself ).

At my husband's urging I petitioned the whole incident & the guides were able to help me out. <3 EQ2"s customer service.
