View Full Version : How the heck did they break our dog now?

<p>Well, I decided that instead of retiring Denna because I got sick of being defiler, I would give mystic a try (again).  I'm level 85 with 210 AA I think now.  Slow going trying to level when you are deployed, let me tell you,,,</p><p>Anyway...  I have noticed that DogDog will pull aggro all the time now.  I keep him set to passive because I play on PvP and I don't want him forcing me into combat if a group is after me.  Yet I will run through an area and mobs will hit me and go straight for him.  Even if I have a ward on myself, they will go straight for him, and sometimes that pulls me into combat.  Then he just stands there and gets beat on unless I tell him to attack.  I have no hate transfers, and my hate mod is 0% where it is normally.  The only buff I have on him is the HP/Power buff, aside from my regular group ones, and all the ones he can get from AA.</p><p>Anyone else having this issue?  I have /bugged it, but from past experience, it could take awhile to get it fixed.</p>

They didn't break him its just how he is designed. The mobs look at him like they do a tank (I think a zerker to be exact). That's why on a fight like hm sages you couldn't necessarily run him due to the tank switch (they fixed it so it now ignores pets). I actually see it as a good thing, more than once a mob was coming to kill me and went after him instead. Love dog dog, but better him than me.

<p>Meh.  I'm sure it has some advantages, but it is a pain.  If they aren't changing that, then at least fix the forced combat.</p>

<p>Yeah mob really often focus on Dog, as example if i move a bit.Ans yes they jump at him. I was thinking it was due to low hps, mobs tend to attack the weakest in a group first. -- Just an hypohtesis --</p>
