Never had a single problem with an update using SOE Station launcher until todays patch.

Windows Vista 64 Bit OS: Running as Administrator

Anti-Virus and Firewall Programs turned off!

It downloaded and started applying the patch and hangs up at 35%. After talking to tech support twice on live chat, I have uninstalled and reinstalled SOE Station launcher, Used the streaming download to repair. I still cannot use the SOE Launcher as it is still hanging at 35% so I am using the EQ2 exe to play. I would like to get the SOE Launcher functional again but have not found a solution as of yet. It is defintely due to todays patch. Any idea's?

If you are referring to the station launcher, check your security software (assuming you have one), to see if stationlauncher.exe is being blocked or any executables related to EverQuest II. If you have it added as an exception already try removing the exception and re-adding it.

Not a single startup program is running and it is still hanging up at 35%.

Try deleting the lp_temp folder, if the game is having trouble moving files around that should fix it.

And where does one find this folder? I've been through all of the folders in the station launcher folder and cannot locate it. My launcher hangs up at 20%, and i have gone beyond frustrated at this point.

You might want to "Cough" tell your live chat tech's this information, save them and us all alot of headaches.

P.S to OP having this issue. The folder is under EQ2 main folder, where is dependent on your OS. Vista 64 bit for me it was under C: Programfiles/ProgramData/Sony Online Entertainment/Installed games/Everquest II/lp_temp

I'm running Gateway FX with Windows 7.

I'm trying to launch EQ2 from the Station Launcher. It scans files just fine, but when it gets to the Update part, I get this error...

---------

There was a problem moving C:ProgramDataSony Online EntertainmentInstalled GamesEverQuest IIlp_tempEverQuest2.exe_delta_9903_369.patched to C:ProgramDataSony Online EntertainmentInstalled GamesEverQuest IIEverQuest2.exe. Please make sure the game is not running.

Station launcher will try again after 5 seconds.

---------

I deleted the lp_temp in my EQ2 folder which appears to have the problem. However, I'm still getting the same error. Any help? Suggestions?

Try right clicking on the launcher and selecting run as admin. Alternatively you can try patching the game using the EverQuest II Streaming Client.
