I am having the same issue. I have reloaded my station launcher, which freezes at applying updates at 20%. I have tried loading off the EQ2 button, and it gets to character select but crashes when trying to receive zone info. I have deleted my cache folders, and the same error - client crash. I have been messing with this for over 3 hours now and I am extremely irritated. I pay Sony to be able to play my game, not spend 3 hours tryiong to be a tech. It worked fine yesterday, and I am one very unhappy customer at this point.

EQ2 launcher downloads updates like normal, I get to character select screen, select a character, screen goes to Receiving Zone Information then crashes. I get EQ2 client has stopped working.

Worked fine before this update today.

I am using a custom UI and I found on another thread that if you delete the Mainhud_knowledge.xml file, it will stop crashing. I deleted the file and can now log on to my character.

That file was in my custom UI folder.

I'm glad this isn't just happening to me ..

I am having this issue too. Thought it was cause I was trying to use a game that wasn't patched completely...

I removed that file that was mentioned and it worked fine. Now if only I could get rid of this horrible ping... (not the game, I'm playing from Afghanistan)
