Patcher question

<p>I am currently deployed to Afghanistan, and brought a copy of the game on my laptop.  I had gotten the game patched after letting it run for several days, and it would still try to patch if I ran the patcher, but I was able to use the Everquest2.eve file to go straight into the game.  Now though since today's patch, it says the game client is not the same and so I can not play.  The patcher jumps anywhere from 12 hours to 40 hours on the download.  I have selected to download while playing, but it still shows this.  Is there a way that I can do the new patch while playing or do I have to just suffer through letting the patcher run for that long.  It has been cancelling the download several times, but hopefully setting it to compatability mode will let it download fine.</p><p>Any suggestion would be good as I love being able to log in (Even with the horrible lag) to say hey to friends and just play around...</p>

<p>You can use the <a href="http://launch.soe.com/eq2" target="_blank">EverQuest II Streaming Client</a> to get into the game sooner.  This version of the game launcher will only require a small download and allow you to jump into the game while the rest of the files are downloaded in the background.</p>
