"Unable to contact Login server, please try again later"

<p>so i just downloaded the client and the second i try to login it says "Unable to contact login server please try again later" i looked all over the forums an stuff to see if there was a maintanence, dont see 1, and i even tried a few hours later an it tells me the same thing, help me out i wanna play lol</p>

<p>If you have any security software/firewalls, please be sure to add an exception for the following files:</p><p>launchpad.exe (If you are using the streaming client)stationlauncher.exe (If you are using Station Launcher)everquest2.exe</p><p>If these programs are already listed, try removing them then re-adding.</p>

<p>I have done these suggfestions as well as both tried disabling firewalls and a clean boot.  Still getting the error.</p><p>Any other suggestions?</p>

<p>I dont know if you are still having this problem, but i am having it.  I just got sent a 14 day trail and i clicked the setup, it ran and opened something for me to login to, but when i tried to input my login, i was given the same error.  I have fixed my firewall.</p><p>What do i do!?</p>

TSR-DennisG, I was finally able to login. I have o idea what I did to log in, but the issue is still there. I have spent the last 4 hours trying to log in. I am seriously frustrated with having to waste hours of my time trying to log in and play. When I do finally get to log in and play, my day is almost over. I only get a very limited time to play, and lately I have been spending most of that time waiting for either a chat support agent, or waiting on the phone. Six or seven hours of trying to log in to get to play for 90 minutes or so is frustrating.

<p>i just downloaded the free trial and now i am getting the same problem he had and it says unable to contact login server please try again later and that was yesterday and it still says the same thing and i tried what you showed to do but it hasnt worked</p>

<p>I have the same problem, all was working for days i even downloaded the full game with it, and suddently the launchpad gave me this error, i can log in if i use everquest2.exe or the station launcher but launchpad is not working anymore (and I don(t think it's a firewall / AV error since even with those disabled it doesnt works version of launchpad is 443 3.0.0.223 153 )</p>
