I've been running a Beta Catalyst driver that is set from September of last year, heh, and I most definitely want to update the thing. There is a Catalyst 10.11 driver available now, and I wanted to know how it ran? Any problems?

Also, as an FYI to any tech support agent that might be watching? The recommended video driver page for this game is grossly out of date. The GeForce 7900 Card Driver recommended is over a year and a half old. That can't be right.

I'd also be very interested to get feedback on this. I'm currently using the 10.1 catalyst that's dated 29.9.10.

I have been experiencing two issues which I'm not sure are driver related: crashing while zoning in full screen ("EQ2client has stopped responding and must shut down"); a DirectX 9 render issue which causes a crash to desktop.

Related links:

http://forums.station.sony.com/eq2/...topic_id=419917http://forums.station.sony.com/eq2/...topic_id=490605

Driver installs always worry me but I've been advised to update mine to the latest - the latest being the 10.11's. If that install can solve both the above two issues then great, but I'm not going to put myself through a nasty bunch of conflicting versions that render my PC inoperable - that's happened to me before and I'm not going to do it again.

The DX9 render issue has been around for two years so, surely, that can't be a driver problem, can it?

My rig is only three weeks old now so I'm really surprised these problems have occurred. I've done the installation of extra DX9.0c files but that's not worked so far. I can get around the crash-on-zone bug by switching to windowed mode but the render error seems random although it seems restricted to drawing building type graphics. V. strange.
