I'm relatively new and am just leveling up my Inq who's currently at 56. I'd say:

1 point in Yaulp, then move to the Inquisitor tree

3 in Invocation Strike

1 in Writhing Strike

1 in Strike of Flames

Put 2 more points into one of the above to

Unlock Litany Circle

That way you're off to a good start with your main Combat Arts. Keep putting enough points into the above CAs (I'd recommend 5 in each) until you can get Battle Cleric. You might also consider putting 1 point into each of Skull Crack and Hammer Divine Smite just to unlock a pair of extra attacks before filling out Battle Cleric (they're on long cooldowns though 45s and 30s if I remember correctly). Then move back into the Cleric tree (Stamina, Agility or Strength). I went with Stamina first, but noticed that it was really annoying not being able to heal myself or get my reactives off while soloing due to constant interrupts, so I respecced into Strength all the way down to Steadfast, then went back to Stamina. Also consider getting Litany of Combat from the Shadows Tree when you've got some points to spare as it'll give you a nice boost to your damage.

Good luck with your Inquisitor and hope you enjoy playing it

90 Inq here. I do not agree with the poster above me. To make your soloing life 100x easier the 1st tree to go down is the str tree in your cleric AA tree. 10 points in skull crack 10 points in the next ability down (cant remember the name but it adds a 50% chance to proc damage on each attack) 2 points in the sta/focus talent then 1 point in steadfast. The steadfast talent will prevent you from being interrupted while being attack if you are not moving. This is a huge boon to a solo cleric.

and I disagree with the above poster (thegriss) and point you to the post by Elementus.. get the CA's and battle cleric first, then go down the skullcrush tree and get steadfast. That will make things alot easier, since the CA's do scale with levels you do not need to spend money on upgrading those spells until late game. They will suffice enough to actually pull mobs at basic level. But hey, its just me.

As one said in this thread, you will most likely get many different opinions about how to spend those AA's, you have been given some feedback, but ultimatly, YOU are the one that should decide. Experiment! Try out different things. Remember that you can redo the AA's (for a price)(first reset is 10s? the next after that is 10g then 1plat then 10plat ... and so on, but the price also goes down after a certain period (each 30days the price drops 1 level, yes?)). Go what feels right/fun.

Edit: you can always looks at my AA setup to get an idea how you could spend the points, just click my sig

I would agree with going for Battle Cleric first, then Steadfast. You'll be killing things faster, which means less having to heal yourself. At the lower levels, killing faster is a good thing. After that I think I'd personally go down the Punishments line of the Inquisitor tree so that the damage shields will also heal. IF I was going to be grouping or duoing with a tank type, rather than Punishments I would go down the 2nd line in the Cleric tree for Shield Ally.

Regarding the AA respecs - while they are cheapish at first, your first 5 are also free. The Achievement Counselor, when hailed, will offer to give you a card that has 5 charges to reset your Cleric tree. Hail them a 2nd time to get a card with 5 charges to reset your Inquisitor tree. Unfortunately they don't hand out cards for your Shadows tree, so that one you'd have to pay for once you get around to playing with it. You need to have spent 60 AAs to start getting to the good stuff on that tree though (Litany of Combat being the first goodie to aim for there).
