Stuck on "Updating Evironment Map"

<p>Ocassionally, the game will hang, forcing me to exit the client entirely (Windows gives the 'Not Rsponding' notice in the program title bar) during load screens where it says "Updating Environment Map" which has typically been about a 1 second process for me.  Re-logging and/or restarting the client does not alleviate the issue.  It seems random, and only started occurring yesterday (11/23).</p><p>Ideas?</p><p>Ara</p>

<p>Try going into your EverQuest II Directory and deleting your cache folder.  </p>

<p>I had that problem forever. Would have to minimize and then maximize to get game to finally pop. Then it got to where it wouldn't even then. So I play full screen all the time now and never have that problem. It's a pain now having to switch to windowed to fool with ventrilo or such because it takes a minute or so to go each way.</p><p>I did the delete cache each time for a while before I hit on the full screen fix.</p>

<p>Deleting the cache did not resolve the issue.</p>

<p>Make a back up of your character's ui settings file (Servername_CharacterName_EQ2_uisettings.ini) before deleting it.  Once completed try logging in again.</p>
