I researched the forums and was unable to find an answer to the following:

My main account has the 7yr Vet Reward. I claimed the reward on my wiz and relocated her from Maj'dul to MCE. At this time I only unpacked my sales crates and my guild hall door (decorating pending completion of other projects ). I double checked my access as public:visitor and my trustees which include my carpenter.

However, for some reason.. I am lost. When I check the broker I can see Noricara (my wiz) at MCE open for business. However, Lylith cannot access Noricara's estate. She doesn't show up on the visit list at all.

So at first I assumed that I had fubarbed something...crossed an i, dotted a t...assembled part A with part D instead of part F....neglected to click my heels three times while spinning in place and winking at the Gods...

I have zoned in from wfp, I have zoned out to wfp. I have deleted my access list and re-entered it. I have zoned out from the guild hall and back into the guild hall. I have even emoted /spits in disgust off balcony!

That being said, I decided that it was not an immediate problem as I said, I have other projects to complete first.

Today I wanted to visit a friend, Kyrey, a fellow carpenter and decorator, to see what progress she had made on her estate. She too is lost. She shows up on the broker but does not show up on the 'visit' list.

Where are we and how can I find us? Is this an 'easter egg' aspect of the Heroes Festival? Will the missing Festival paintings be involved as rewards? Has eq2 reverted back finally to the way things once were when good and evil couldnt visit each other? Did Sue Ellen shoot J.R.? Inquiring minds want to know.

BTW, she was preggie by J.R., so J.R. didn't press charges.

what about them trying to right click visit you from their faction site instead of yours? If you're evil and they are a goodie, have them try to right click visit you from qeynos. I doubt it will work.

But yeah, if opposite factions can't visit MCE, I'm going to have to move back to gorowyn, cos that's just awful

If this is working as intended, then PLEASE, add a right click visit site in somborn or SOMETHING.

Same issue here....

If I want my trustee alts to visit Shai in her estate, and she is a good character, they must go to Q to access it. My good characters must go to Freeport to access the estate that belong to my evil ones.

My good cannot access the evil vet house reward from Q and vice versa....grrrrr

The broker issue is another thing....its so frustrating!!

Pretty silly imho to have it seperated like that....

I'd hate to find out this is just broken and going to remain that way. I guess i can understand some of the underlying reasons for it, probably keeps a goodie from using the Freeport door to claim their estate... Or leaving their estate and accientally ending up in freeport... or just wasn't thought through.

I hope it gets fixed... I guess in the meantime i need to move my vendor stuff to my bruiser and pay his gorowyn rent.

The Estate (and the Airship as well) is housing offered by their respective cities, so they will be just as bound to city alignment as any other house in those cities. Think of it as each city has laid claim to land in the same area and are competing for control of the region.

How does it read on the broker? "Visit Noricara at Mistmoore Crag Estates" or "Visit Noricara at Mistmoore Crag Estates in South Qeynos" ?

If the former, then you have a legitimate complaint because buyers won't know which city to go to. If the latter, are you visiting the correct MCE in the correct city?

The Skyblade Skiff is the same way: you can only access it from either Qeynos, or from Freeport. You can't access it from both cities.

I don't think there is any way of changing this.

It won't just appear as mistmoore crag estate.

Thank you all for your responses here and in the Homeshow forums.

Senya wrote:

I found Noricara and Kyrey just fine when I visited Unrest, at least when I was in FP using the zone in. When I was in Qeynos, out of curiosity, I checked for them there because I was pretty sure that FP MCE and Q MCE would be different lists, and I was right. No Noricara and Kyrey when trying to visit from the Qeynos zone in.

Obviously the one thing I didnt do while trying to zone in was consider the faction option, tho personally as the Skyblade Skiff and the Mistmoore Crag Estate are unique rewards I believe that trustees should be able to access regardless of location (i.e., SQ to SF and vice versa).

Perhaps if I had paid attention to the "Kyrey at MCE SF" I would have realized that I was having a blond moment.
On the broker if you have a skyblade or the Mistmoore Estate, there is no address listed. So it really doesn't matter for broker sales since if you have something listed, it'll show up just as if you had a house somewhere but didn't pay rent. IOW, just your name shows as seller.

For visitors, you would need to tell them to take FP or Q portal. Opposing factions would have to do the sneak trick be they your alts or friends.

Interesting - my friend has the Estate, he's good original Pally of Q. He has his broker boxes in place and items for sale. Yet it just shows his name. He told me, then I went to the broker and checked. Sure enough - just his name only. I did a search under his name for seller and got his items for sale. Then I typed in the name of one of his items for sale and it still lists just his name.

Go figure...

Hmm, so how does this work if you betray?

If it works like city housing, I guess if you buy / decorate / sell from an Estate acessed from Qeynos and then betray, after betrayal you will still have your Estate with Qeynos access, but will not be able to sell directly from it anymore.

You could "move" from Qeynos-access Estate to FP-acess Estate and then be able to sell from your house again - but I'm guessing all your decoration would be undone and end up in a moving crate. Kinda sucky.

There's an easy fix for that. You just save the layout before you betray and load it when you're all mved into your new city

Hmm..my main is good, my carpenter evil. I will have to see if she can sneak in to SQ to get to the housing portal. Kind of an adventure!

I would suggest doing a feedback in game about this. Maybe there is a way all your Trustees could gain access to the Estate regardless of where they hail from. The suggestion of having a "netural" portal would be nice.

I'd love to have a house in all the cities on different characters. The vendors don't have to sell to you, the guards might want to kick your butt, but it would be nice to be able to have houses wherever.
