I'm going to try to be as gentle with this as possible.

The Streaming Client is a piece of garbage, and should NEVER have been forced on us. For ages I was able to play two accounts on the same machine with no issues at all, until I wiped my HD on 11/04/10, only to find out that I was pretty much forced to use the Streaming Client to download the game, which does not enable you to do this without taking up 24G of harddrive space.

I deleted EQ2 and all of the Streaming Client's assets from my PC and downloaded the Station Launcher, which is now giving me some error about not being able to confirm the file size of some file ending in eq2ui_mainhud_tutorial.xml or something. After two hours of forum cruising, every red name I see gives the same solution. "delete the file and start over", "delete lp_temp" and start over, and my personal favorite, "download the streaming client <insert streaming client link here>".

I'm honestly sick of the poor customer support from SoE. You call the phones, you get mindless drones of people reading scripts that have no idea what the hell you're talking about. You come on the forums, you get the same answer in 600 different threads which OBVIOUSLY has not resolved anything seeing as people are still posting about the same thing many times over. You guys need to get your stuff together, I can't blame anyone that says it isn't worthit anymore. FIX THE LAUNCHER, SCREW THE STREAMING CLIENT.

The launcher was fine, until some "improvement" was made to it. Now it's a total pain, not something I expect from an old professional company.

I was able to reproduce the problem on my end using a fresh install of EverQuest II using the Station Launcher. I will bring this up on Monday to see whats going on. I understand that you may not want to use the Streaming Client but it is the current work around for this problem. I will keep you guys updated.

I managed to get an install of EQ2 by downloading the old patcher via Filefront, and it works just fine. Not streaming, no errors, etc. I didn't mean to go into a semi-fit of rage earlier but it's just frustrating to have to dig third party websites for a patch program.
