Okay so I have been trying to fix this issue of missing graphics now for a few weeks. The issue is about 3 months old or so but finally got fed up and stopped believing it would go away on its own. So the issue is, my graphics are randomly dissapearing. Sometimes there is no land sometimes no nodes sometimes no NPC's. The only thing that seems to fix it is minimizing my screen waiting a moment and then bringing it back up. I sent a mail to Sony they told me to update my drivers, I did. They told me to download the latest launcher, that messed things up. When I told them that they told me that this error could be caused by my cache files and my third party ui files. So I wiped EVERYTHING having to do with eq2 off of my computer and did a clean install. Still didnt fix my issue. Then they had me send a bunch of info to them using ipconfig tracert etc pathping etc. after doing that they told me to setup a static IP address. I did that. Still having the issue. At this point I was starting to feel like EQ2 wasnt the issue my internet connection must be. So I kept playing and then I went LD. I've never gone LD. It happened about 5 times in a row. The next morning I called my internet company. While talking to them they had me log in to see if I would LD again. I did. The internet signal was definitely going out, while the game tried to log back in when it finally gave up it said error within checkupdateneeded nothing else in the box just that text and then you click okay and the game gives up on trying to log in. So, they sent a tech out to the house he checked the wiring the outside box (tightened a few screws) and came inside and checked my modem. Said everything was fine. They did tell me that the actiontec pk5000 is about to come out with a firmware update and maybe thats why I'm having issues. The game has not gone LD since but I am still experiencing the graphics issue. I used to be able to run on balanced or high quality I'm now running on very high performance and experiencing this issue. I really am at my wits end. I noticed that your system's DPI setting is set to 125%. Anything higher than the default 100% has caused some graphical issues in our other games. As a troubleshooting step can I have you set this to 100%.How to adjust DPI setting:1. Right-click on an empty space on your desktop2. Click Personzalize3. Click Display on the bottom left of the Personalization window4. Click the "Smaller-100%(default) optionI also recommend installing <a href="http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=04ac064b-00d1-474e-b7b1-442d8712d553&displaylang=en" target="_blank">Direct X 9.0c</a> if you haven't done so already. Direct X 11 does not contain all files needed to properly run EverQuest II.

Thank you for getting back to me.Switched the DPI and ran the download but how do I get my computer to switch from using directx 11? do I have to delete directx and then download the 9 version?

Um it doesnt work that way. When directx detects a newer version it wont run the patcher at all.
