Game skipping character select and auto selecting a character - help!

<p>Yesterday while I was playing I hit an area that kept making my client crash. I managed to move the character out, but ever since then whenever I login to EQ2 the game skips the character screen completely and automatically logs in said character. This is very annoying and irritating, and I can't find an option anywhere to turn it off, a search of the knowledge base and google has turned up nothing.</p><p>This seems to be an account thing because I have tried uninstalling the game and reinstalling and the same thing happens. Can anyone help me out here?</p><p>I am playing on Everquest 2: Extended, so using EQx client.</p>

<p>Hi, you can select your toon from the launcher only if you're gold or plat sub, and even so it's a nightmare :/</p><p>You can use a trick, but it does not works everytime.</p><p>Instead of just camping, type "/camp select" this will take you to the character selection screen, then quit game.</p><p>The next time you will log in, you'll be again at the character select screen.</p>
