black screen then squiggly moving lines and shapes

<p>I just came back to the game from a long rest.  Everything loaded fine.  Was able to log on the first couple of times with no problems.  Logged on nothing but a black screen then squiggly moving lines and shapes.  Logged off and on and everything was just fine.</p><p>Logged on today,with no issues.  Logged off same thing happened, now i'm just unable to get into the game period.  I think it's my card.  I have a gts8800, looking to upgrade to 5770 would like some advise please.  Ohh running vista 32 bit.</p><p>Purple</p>

<p>Have you tried updating your video card drivers recently?  You may also want to contact the video card manufacturer to report the problem.  They may have a few tests you can run to check if the card is failing.</p>

<p>there was a new driver update as of 10/25/10 did the update so far no more problems.  We'll see.</p>

<p>I tried that can't seem to get a screen shot.  However, after speaking with a friend of mine, he has advised me that it sounds like my video card is over heating.  Which could very well be as it is over 4 years old.  So going to be purchasing a 460gtx in the next couple of weeks.  Hopefully, it will hold until it is replaced.</p><p>Purple</p>
